Oak Ridge, Tennessee – August 2022. Navarro Research & Engineering (Navarro) is proud to announce that Ryan Overton is joining the company as Executive Vice President, focusing on strategic planning and growth for Navarro’s nationwide federal programs within the Department of Energy, NASA, and the Department of Defense industries.

Ms. Overton’s career has focused on corporate growth initiatives in business development, talent acquisition, and quality control of all services and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction and maintain client relationships. In her previous role as EVP at GEM Technologies, she oversaw environmental and technical service divisions for contracts up to $395M in value and was responsible for leading strategic planning and resource allocation to achieve customer goals for DOE/NNSA missions.

Ms. Overton rejoins Navarro after working for the company early in her career, where she played a key role in six major contract award transitions with over 250 personnel. “Ryan was an asset to our organization as a Business Development Manager,” remarked President and CEO Susana Navarro, “and I am excited to partner with her again to embark on this next chapter of growth for Navarro.”

Currently, Ryan is working alongside fellow Executive Vice President Cathy Hickey, former President of Westinghouse Government Services, before her retirement next year. “Ryan is fabulous,” remarks Hickey. “She is not only an expert in business development, but also possesses exceptional management capabilities for technical and environmental programs. Her commitment to customer satisfaction is mirrored in Navarro’s exceptional performance record, almost cementing her future success in this role.”

Ms. Overton brings with her over 20 years of industry experience in business development, business management, and proposal management, and has a history of working with various government agencies and national laboratories. She received her BS in Multinational Business Operations from Florida State University College of Business in 1999 and is an active board member for multiple non-profits, including United Way, the East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC), and the Oak Ridge Public Schools Education Foundation. She lives in Oak Ridge with her husband Blake, enjoys running and hiking, and now embraces the opportunity to cheer on the University of Tennessee with her two enrolled sons on the weekends.
