Navarro Research & Engineering (Navarro), an award-winning contractor within the environmental and nuclear industries, welcomes the addition of Susanna Waters to its leadership team in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.Susanna Waters joins the team as Director of Business Development to generate new business and grow existing operations through lead generation and capture management, marketing and communications, proposal management, and business administration. In this role, she directs efforts across all departmental divisions to build and strengthen relationships with customers within the nuclear and environmental industries of the Department of Energy, NASA, and the Department of Defense.

Ms. Waters brings over a decade of experience in varying aspects of business development within the environmental industry. This experience includes working with technical, programmatic, and executive leadership teams to generate leads; evaluate and select opportunities that fit the organization’s business model and long-term growth strategy; and pursue those opportunities through sales, marketing, corporate communications, and proposal management.

Ms. Waters currently represents Navarro for multiple organizations, including the East Tennessee Economic Council (ETEC), Energy, Technology, and Environmental Business Association (ETEBA), and the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce. She is heavily involved with the Cedar Springs children’s ministry in Knoxville, Tennessee and volunteers as a spring soccer coach with the local Parks & Recreation. She and her husband Brian have three children and travel at every opportunity possible.
